Libros Sin Fronteras is the community advocacy branch of the San Diego Book Project. Our mission is to promote literacy by providing free books and creating engaging reading and writing programs for individuals who face barriers to access. We have hosted free book fairs for students, and for many, these events offer them the first books they have ever owned. Additionally, we launched summer reading programs, supplying free books and incentives to support elementary and middle school students in their reading journeys. We are also planning to introduce writing workshops, as effective written communication is an essential complement to reading proficiency.
