At the San Diego Book Project (SDBP), our mission is to promote literacy as a foundational life skill. We provide free books to children and families in need. Our mission is to foster a love for reading, improve literacy, and promote educational equity. The SDBP aims to reach under-resourced communities so that children and families have access to books.

Through our initiatives, we work to eliminate barriers to literacy by distributing books and offering engaging reading and writing programs. By promoting literacy and a love for reading, we hope to empower people to be effective communicators, make informed decisions, and further their educational and economic opportunities. Together, we are building a more literate and empowered community.
